| Following the inception
of the IRMP ethos, members will recall the interest FBU officials
took in securing North Anderson Drive as a strategic site. Therefore
the Fire Brigades Union were delighted when First Minister, Alex
Salmond agreed to officially open the new fire station.
Unfortunately, the Fire Brigades Union were not invited to attend the ceremony but were however able to accommodate Mr Salmond’s request to meet officials afterwards to discuss other current issues. The meeting took place in a local hotel.
